MILLY SPEAKER & DUMBBELL STAND 2023

운동을 보다 즐겁게 만들기 위해 개발된 캐릭터 ‘밀리(Milly)’를 활용한 피트니스 기기 디자인 프로젝트입니다. 광주 콘텐츠 코리아 랩의 지원을 받아, 아령을 거치할 수 있는 고양이 형태의 조형물 겸 블루투스 스피커, 그리고 물의 양에 따라 무게를 조절할 수 있는 불가리안백 기능과 마사지 폼롤러 기능이 결합된 실린더형 운동기구를 디자인하고 제작하였습니다. 3D 프린팅을 통해 형태를 구현하고, 후가공 및 도색을 거쳐 완성했습니다. 귀여운 캐릭터성과 다양한 운동 기능이 결합되어, 일상 속 운동 경험을 보다 유쾌하고 창의적으로 확장하는 것을 목표로 합니다.

This project was developed to make everyday workouts more enjoyable by introducing the character Milly, a fitness-friendly design concept. Created with support from Gwangju Content Korea Lab, the project includes a cat-shaped object that functions both as a dumbbell stand and a Bluetooth speaker, as well as a cylindrical fitness tool combining an adjustable-weight Bulgarian bag (via water filling) and a massage foam roller. The forms were prototyped using 3D printing and completed through post-processing and painting. By blending playful character design with multi-functional workout tools, the project aims to bring creativity and joy to daily fitness routines.
