GWANGJU DESIGN BIENNALE_ INTERACTIVE DEVICES 2025

2025 광주 디자인 비엔날레 〈너라는 세계 You, The World〉 전시의 ‘뉴노멀플레이그라운드(New Normal Playground)’ 섹션에서 다양한 감각적 경험을 확장하는 장치를 제작했습니다. 영상이 늘 중간부터 재생되는 불편을 해결하기 위해, 버튼을 누르면 언제든 영상을 처음부터 다시 볼 수 있는 스위치를 제작했습니다. 이를 통해 관람객은 5명의 해설자가 참여한 수어 전시 해설 영상을 원하는 시점에 새롭게 시청할 수 있습니다. 또한 3D 프린팅을 활용해 직접 제작한 촉지도는 시각 중심의 전시 방식을 넘어, 손끝의 감각으로 공간을 탐색하고 경험할 수 있는 입체적 지도를 보여줍니다. ‘뉴노멀플레이그라운드’는 이처럼 서로 다른 감각과 몸의 차이를 존중하며, 누구나 각자의 속도와 리듬대로 전시를 즐길 수 있는 통합 놀이터를 지향합니다. 관람객은 만지고, 기대고, 대화하며, 새로운 감각적 놀이를 만들어가며 차이를 연결하는 경험을 하게 됩니다.

At the 2025 Gwangju Design Biennale exhibition “You, The World”, in the section “New Normal Playground”, we developed interactive devices that broaden sensory experiences. A custom switch was built so visitors can restart the Korean Sign Language interpretation video—featuring five narrators—from the beginning at any time. We also created a 3D-printed tactile map, enabling the exhibition space to be discovered through touch as well as sight. New Normal Playground embraces diverse bodies and senses, offering an inclusive environment where everyone can explore at their own pace, connect through play, and experience new ways of sensing together.
