팹시티(Fab City)는 ‘Fabrication’과 ‘City’의 합성어로, 도시 내 생산과 소비를 자급자족 형태로 전환하여 70% 이상의 자급률을 실현하고자 하는 글로벌 도시 네트워크입니다. 이 프로젝트는 서울 시내의 다양한 가공업체, 공방, 공예 스튜디오, 메이커스페이스를 연결하는 웹사이트로, 사용자가 원하는 가공처를 쉽게 찾고, 지도상에서 확인할 수 있도록 제작되었습니다. 서울의 분산된 제작 역량을 시각화함으로써, 지속가능한 도시로 나아가기 위한 서울시의 미래 지향적 플랫폼으로 기능합니다.

Fab City is a global movement of cities aiming to achieve over 70% self-sufficiency by localizing production and reducing carbon emissions through regional manufacturing. This website was developed to connect small-scale manufacturers, craft studios, and makerspaces across Seoul. Users can search for manufacturing services and view their locations on an interactive map, with video content integrated for deeper engagement. By visualizing Seoul’s distributed production infrastructure, the project serves as a forward-looking platform for building a more sustainable urban future.
